Memorial Day Weekend is only a few days away, and many of you most likely have a weekend packed with celebrating. It’s important while you are having fun with your family also to be safe! We wanted to provide you with a few safety tips.
Tip 1
Going away this weekend? Before you do make sure your car is prepared for the trip. For maintenance tips that should be done before you hit the road, check out one of our past blogs.
Tip 2
More than likely you have a picnic or two to attend this weekend – maybe you are even hosting one. Something to remember is food safety! If you are going to have your food out for people to snack on throughout the day, make sure any perishable items are on ice. Also, avoid having your food table outside. Keep it indoors where it is cooler.
Tip 3
Are items that need to be grilled on your list? If so, use grilling safety. Make sure your grill is working properly, clean, and has no issues before your picnic. Also, keep a fire extinguisher close by in case a grease fire should happen that you need to control. Last but not least, do not grill in your garage and avoid being close to anything that could catch fire.
Tip 4
If you’re going to be outside, use sunblock! This is a rule that should be followed not only by your children but also by yourself! Also, drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
